Secretary – Part-time
Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation (WCVE Richmond PBS – Community Idea Stations) seeks a Secretary for 20 hours a week. Responsibilities include providing secretarial assistance for the VP of Broadcasting and the Director of Creative Services. The secretary will handle inquiries and provide information to staff & clients; manage resource materials and requisition office supplies; operate basic TV production equipment to provide support for production crews when required; maintain tower lease files and FCC license records; maintain department project files; track project income and expenses, prepare invoices and purchase orders; prepare regular reports of department activities; receive payments and maintain accurate records of all requests. Occasional transcription from videotape. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by training in the secretarial sciences and two years minimum practical experience; typing speed of 50+ wpm; demonstrated proficiency with Windows XP, Microsoft Excel, and Word; strong written and verbal communication skills. Director of Corporate Development
Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation (The Community Idea Stations WCVE/WCVW Richmond PBS, WHTJ Charlottesville PBS and WCVE Public Radio) seeks a Director of Corporate Development to direct, manage and coach sales activities of Corporate Sponsorship Consultants in Richmond and Charlottesville. Work individually, and with co-workers and board members to build relationships with key corporate contacts and solicit corporate philanthropic gifts for public broadcasting. Develop corporate sponsorship opportunities for the Community Idea Stations website. Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in sales or marketing and a minimum of two years in sales management; developed public speaking and presentation skills and the ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
